FREE AGENCY RULES
NOTE: FREE AGENTS SIGNED CAN NOT BE DROPPED FOR 1 FULL SEASON, AND CAN NOT BE TRADED UNTIL AFTER THEIR 1ST SEASON WITH THE TEAM. INJURY SIGNINGS DO NOT APPLY TO THIS RULE AS THEY ARE SIGNED TO FILL A VOID AND WILL BE DROPPED WHEN THE INJURIED PLAYER RETURNS
THIS IS BEFORE FOR WEEK 1 ONLY: We will be using a Free Agent Draft before the start of the season. This will be 1 Round. Each Team will have a chance to Draft a Free Agent, but you are not required to do so.
Free Agency will be done via MyLeagueManager.com bidding (except for the 1 round forum draft). I have set the site to use NFL style money contracts. I did hear they had problems, then they fixed it, we'll see. Admin reserves the right to take any player out of FA at any time to upgrade a cpu team ONLY.
After the initial bidding period, and after you have certified your roster is under the limit and cap, you may sign 1 FA per week. This will be done via the forum. You must post the signing, and a cut. This transaction may not push you over the cap and may not result in the cut of any FA already signed, unless due to injury.
Teams may sign additional FA if a player is moved to IR for an extended period. This is at the discretion of admin.
FREE AGENCY RULES (STARTING WEEK 3)
When the need to sign Free Agents arises, be it for injuries or to upgrade your team, you must post in the Free Agent Section using the Template for signing and releasing players. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SIGN YOUR FREE AGENTS, UNLESS TOLD BY THE COMMISSIONER OR STAFF. No one is to sign their own players without following these guidelines. It will work on a first come, first serve basis.
Trade Limits:
*3 Trades per season, maximum of three elements per trade.
*At the beginning of each season, Trades are reset back to 3.
*Offseason Trades include Draft Day trades.
Franchise Players:
*These players will not be allowed to be traded for the Season.
*The Overall for the Players must be within 10 of your highest player, Kickers/Punters do not count. EXAMPLE: if your highest is 90, you can't Franchise Tag anyone lower then 80.
*Owners will submit their players to Staff
*Staff will approve the players picked by the Owners (this is to keep some Owners from putting scrubs on the Franchise List.)
Trading/Leaving Teams:
*Trade totals stay with the team. If an Owner makes 1 trade and then leaves that team/league, the new Owner get the 2 remaining trades and not 3.
*When an Owner is replaced, the new Owner can change Franchise Players.
*You are not allowed to trade the same player twice in a season.
Proposed Trades
*Each trade will need X votes to pass. Majority is needed, or the trade is declined.
*Trades will be processed by the Commissioner at the next advance time.
*YOU ARE NOT TO HANDLE THE ACTUALLY TRADE YOURSELF UNLESS TOLD BY THE COMMISSIONER ONLY.
DRAFTING RULES:
Teams may accrue no more then:
3 First Rounders
3 Second Rounders
3 Third Rounders
9 Total Draft Picks (within the listed limits)
This will keep teams from stacking up on draft picks, and keep the better teams from taking advantage of the lower teams via trades.
There are only 3 rounds in the draft, the rest go into the Free Agency pool.
