Buffalo, looking to clinch the #2 seed in the AFC, has announced to the press that it will NOT rest it's starters for the upcoming game versus the Jets.
Buffalo's coach Wiggles had several key points to bring up in today's press conference:
On the team:
For years Buffalo has been the laughing stock of the AFC East. That has all changed this season under my new management. Not only do we have the division firmly in hand, we intend to go all the way. Anything less will be a failure.
Fans this year have a whole lot to be excited about with the team. After switching from Ryan Fitzpatrick's mediocre performance of 55% completions, 5 yards per attempt, 0 tds and 4 ints to the good, if not great, performance of Trent Edwards, us Bills have not looked back. Spiller has provided big plays in the running and screen game, and Lee Evans has looked fantastic going up for the deep ball.
The real surprise of the bills this year, and the secret to their success, has been turnovers. Giving up the ball just 14 times, less then 1 per game, they have handled themselves spectacularly. CJ Spiller has shown himself to have the surest hands, giving up the ball just once on 176 touches. The only word to describe him is consistency.
Even more surprising has been the big-play ability of the defense, grabbing 23 interceptions and forcing 14 fumbles. With a spectacular +23 turnover differential, it is no surprise that the Bills have swept the division.
Unfortunately the team is far from perfect. Lee Evans has provided a huge spark to the offense, but he is also tied for 7th in the NFL in dropped balls, with 7. Places 2-6 are tied with 8 drops, and number 1 with 10 drops is, of course, Larry Fitzgerald.
Many worry that the team's pedestrian passing attack will ultimately be the downfall come playoffs, but if we keep playing solid football - and we will - the team will be a competitor in every game.[/b]
