Broncos at Raiders
On paper the broncos have the better team, in this league Raiders have the tools necesary for King to pull off the win.
Raiders
Dolphins at Patriots
The pats have nearly an all star team, the phins have some weapons and can be a force if controlled by the right owner.
Patriots
Jets at Cowboys
Great week 1 match-up and runner up for game of the week. Both of these guys are good owners and the teams both have good play makers and all around solid teams. Jets have to get the run game going to have a chance, they wont and the Cowboys will take advantage.
Cowboys
Cardinals at Panthers
Panthers are an underrated team and should have a nice first season. Cardinals may have some growing pains with Kolb as the new QB, but they are far better off than last season.
Panthers
Chargers at Vikings
The Chargers have a great offense capable of moving the ball but a questionable defense. Fortunately for them the Vikings have question marks everywhere, can McNabb, ADP and Percy Harvin get it done? I dont think they can.
Chargers
Giants at Redskins
Giants have a great defense all around and should be able to force turnovers and stuff the run game. Redskins have a defense that is nearly as impressive. But Eli and company should be able to outperform Rex and company.
Giants
49ers at Seahawks
This season I will actually comment on my game and try not to be biased. 49ers have playmakers on offense but a rookie at QB. Their defensive front 7 are rock solid but they have question marks in the secondary. Seahawks have some talent on offense as well but have a questionable QB in tavares jackson. Their defense has more experience but have some holes.
49ers
Buccaneers at Lions
2 of the youngest teams in the league. QBs are a wash as both can be stars. Lions have an edge in playmakers but the Buccs can move the ball. Buccs have a good secondary but questionable front 7, lions have a great front 7 but a questionable secondary. Lions are clear favorites.
Lions
Rams at Eagles
The rams were a suprise team last season and can only get better. The eagles are the self proclaimed dream team and with playmakers at every position I look for them to prove it to the rams.
Eagles
Chiefs at Bills
These 2 teams are built very similar and is probably the hardest game for me to call without knowing the owners playstyle. Qbs are a wash, hbs are a wash, Wrs are a wash with the Chiefs having a slight edge with a great all purpose TE in Moeki. Bills have a slightly better front 7 as well as a slight edge at secondary. Ill just go with the saying defense wins games.
Bills
Bears at Falcons
The Falcons have a great offense, ryan and company should be close to unstoppable. They have major question marks on defense though. Bears have some talent on offense and will probably look to pound the rock. The bears defense is getting old but with that old age comes experience and they still have enough juice to force mistakes. I don't know stunna but his team has the edge...I have a feeling any given night will prove me wrong but I have to go with team talent at this point in time.
Bears
Jaguars at Titans
Jaguars have turned the reigns over to rookie qb gabbert. They have a couple weapons the biggest of which is MJD. Their defense will be tested with all the holes they have. Titans have one of the most dynamic hbs in the league in CJ2k and they will need him with hassleback at qb and kenny britt being his only reliable weapon. Their defense is more stable with good veterans spread throughout.
Titans
Texans at Colts
Texans will be the suprise superbowl contenders this year. They improved their defense tremendously with jonathon joseph and JJ Watt, and Schaub, AJ, Daniels and Foster can move the ball. The colts are dangerous as long as Peyton Manning is healthy. They have a great veteran presence all over and can put up points fast.
Texans
Browns at Bengals
Browns can move the ball if they ride the workhorse Peyton Hillis, Colt and company will have trouble if the run game is stuffed. The bengals make some questionable trades but we know kody knows how to make a team fit his playstyle. They have a very talented defense and the offense still has some playmakers.
Bengals
Ravens at Steelers
This game should be good no matter how good the owners are themselves, with that being said I have no idea who either of these guys are. Both teams have a top 5 if not top 3 defense and both have offenses capable of running or passing.
Ravens
Game of the Week
Packers vs Saints
Offense: The Packers have one of the best passers in the league in Aaron Rogers and he probably still hasn't hit his prime. He has big weapons in Greg Jennings, Donald Driver and Jermichael Finley. Starks and Grant are good complimentary backs and their oline is more the capable of opening holes and protecting the passer.
The Saints are led by one of the leagues elite in Drew Brees. He leads in offense that is capable of putting up big points in a hurry. Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, Devery Henderson and Jimmy Graham are good at stretching the field and making plays. Rookie Mark Ingram will carry the bulk of the load and is more the capable of pounding it out as well as making a huge play, look for sproles to make cameos throughout the game though. Their oline is also very solid and capable.
Defense: The packers have playmakers all around with Pickett and Raji anchoring up front, the other end position is a question mark though. The lb corp is very talented with Matthews, hawk, bishop and jones. At CB they have Woodson, Williams and shields, and at safety they have nick collins and 2nd year man Morgan Burnett.
The saints have revamped their dline by drafting rookie cameron jordan and signing free agents abrayo franklin and shaun rogers who will rotate with ellis at dt. They have major question marks at LB with Vilma being the only solid player. Their secondary is talented with Greer, Porter and Robinson at cb and Malcon Jenkins and Roman Harper at safety.
Special Teams: both have great kickers in hartley and crosby with crosby having a much bigger boot, and both have explosive returners in Cobb and sproles.
I have to give the edge to the packers, they have a lot more talent all over the field and favre is used to playing with the packers year in and year out.
